28 year old singer Rachel Hylton burst onto our screens two years ago when she became one of the most memorable contestants of the 5th series of ITV's The X Factor.

Her passion for singing began at the tender age of 5 years old and despite a challenging childhood, Rachel has continued to strive for her dream of becoming a world class recording artist. She finally found fame after finding hearself in the final 6 of 2008's X Factor in which Alexandra Burke went onto win the crown.

Her determination to achieve her dream did not stop when she finished in sixth place and went on to score a number 1 in the UK singles chart along with the other X Factor finalists with their charity single 'Hero'. Profits from this track raised money for Help For Heroes.

Rachel describes herself as a vivacious, bubbly character who is able to capture her audience and knows how to put on a show. With her unique voice, shes gone on to round up a healthy fanbase and is set for bigger things in 2010

A devote churchgoer, the singer who has worked hard to change her life says whilst she’s always loved dancing to music but, these days it’s to a different type of music – God’s music.
